Reading books with your children will bring happiness to you and your children. Only when children can learn through practical experiences, children can learn through indirect experiences. Through the books, children can discover what they have not known before such as discovering the fear, failure, love, and understanding. Moreover, books will help children behave properly when encountering at the first time with all the experiences that they know through books.

Some helpful recommendations for helping you to read books with your children are listed below:

Try to spend a little time reading books everyday. All the instructions about books suitable with age only reflect reference characteristic. The important thing is to focus on what you and your children do together. When a lot of good books are available, you will find it difficult to persuade your children to have a look any special books. This problem is truly suitable for music. If you allow your children to listen to music too early or listen to music in wrong ways, you will ruin your children's tastes after that.

A professor says "When I was a child, a relative gave me a story Ivanho to read. I felt so disappointed that I never read that book again."

Do remember that your children can understand and like listening to the stories suitable with their age. Children under 1 year like the stories with rhythm and repetition

Children understand that mythological stories, fairy tales, and folk tales are told in different ways.

When you read out loud a selective story that you like, you have to assure that it is also the story that your children like. You read out loud first. It is the way for you to understand the core of your story. Read with your feeling. Study how to raise your voice and fall your voice and stop when necessary. Low voice will make them flutter. High voice will make a deep impression on them. You can change your voice which is suitable with different characters. You do not pay attention to pronunciation skill. Your children will leave out because they are enthusiastic listeners.

Creating a constant mood is the important thing when you read books for your children. Let them have fixed time. If you read comic books, you can spend all your time introducing the book covers. Ask your children what they think what will happen. If it is a chapter in a long book, you will ask your children: "Yesterday, where do we stop last time?" or "What did the story happen?"

Do not explain what pieces of advice from the stories are meant. Let the stories do this. Sometimes, you should ask one or two questions about actions or motivations of all characters. But you do not overindulge into those things. The better is let your children ask themselves.

You need to balance time for your reading for children and time for children reading on their own. Even children before age for reading need time to read books on their own. Try to set up a period of time in order that all members in your families read books together. Instead of focusing on TV every night, you should focus on your book shelves.
