The Alzheimer may gain benefits from playing with dolls
Dolls and Teddy bears may help the Alzheimer communicate with the others.
A group of researchers of Newcastle General Hospital , Great Britain , have been conducting a research on advantages of dolls after finding how well a patient got familiar with a Teddy bear of his/her son.
The Alzheimer day by day begin to lose intellectual ability, social communication and fine sentiments. The researchers found that dolls tend to get rid of worries and depression but help them communicate easily and stop shrinking into themselves.
According to the researchers, the 14 Alzheimer at a sanatorium in Newcastle played with a doll or a Teddy bear. After 12 weeks, they found that the patients can communicate better with medical staff and the other patients.
Doctor Ian James, the author of the research, made an assessment, "Those who have never talked at last open their mouths. Although playing with dolls could not get rid of insanity, the life has been improved."
