An australian researcher found one type of virus causing cervical cancer in the tumor of many women who have breast cancer in Australia .
James Lawson professor in New South Wales university and coworkers show that in samples of breast tumor which they test, there are half of them which carry the same form of virus to be HPV (human papilloma virus) which concern with cervical cancer.
This is the first research like this in Australia , although international researches also find HPV to concern with cervical cancer in cells of breast cancer. Lawson thinks that, although still not yet put forth any correct result, but maybe HPV also causes breast cancer. According to him, HPV is transmitted from sex life or when washing, there virus move from secret area of the body through teat gland to the breast.
"We know that virus breaks out leaving cell and is passed from collision, therefore it is transmitted from sex life to the breast, or from bath".
Lawson shows that needing to add many researches to determine HPV which really causes breast cancer or not, or women have breast cancer who catch virus more easily.
Last year, Lawson and coworkers proclaimed the result of analyzing AND, according to that found 24/50 samples of breast cancer which have HPV-positive 18, the virus concerns with cervical cancer. The following test also finds many forms of HPV in 10 researches about breast cancer from 1999.
Last month, Lawson reported about a test 2005, with the result is find women have breast cancer and carry HPV - positive who are young with the average age more than women are 8 years older who have breast caner without HPV - positive. He shows that this result proved breast cancer can transmit from sex tract, therefore HPV is more popular with young people because they have sex life to be more broad-minded.
