big thighsA recent research in Taiwan shows that big thighs not only make women worry but also increase the risk of cardiovascular disease.

Researchers in Kang Ning hospital said that if the thigh size in double is larger than hip size by 5 cm, it may be the sign of being overweight and cardiovascular risk.

Another research also shows that thigh measurement over 52 cm may be considered as too big and it is necessary to have a test on the fat amount.

Yin Chang Sheng, hospital deputy director advised that women who have big thighs should go walking or jogging for 15 to 20 minutes everyday. Another way to have slim thighs is to do the leg exercises. He also emphasized that doing exercise is much better than going on a diet.

According to a survey on over 403 women from 25 to 45 of the hospital, Taiwanese women's most annoying problem is hip size, next is thigh size and lower abdomen size. About 80% of the women said that they had tried all methods and failed in adjusting those measurements.

The survey also found that it takes 50% of the women an average of 6 years to improve those measurements by going on a diet, using cream, taking medicine, hot wraps.

When all of the Taiwanese women want perfect measurements, 67% of them, instead of doing exercise regularly, just limit the food proportion.

Chang Sheng advised that women should not care too much about the measurements but the body balance instead, especially the thigh size, because it may bring cardiovascular risk.
